WiFi QR Code Generator
Let guests join your Wi-Fi by pointing their camera at a code — no spelling out long passwords. Fill in your network details, then style and download the code.
How a WiFi QR code works
The code stores your network name, password and security type in a standard format that phone cameras recognise. iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and most Android phones (Android 10 and later) show a "Join network" prompt when they scan it — no app needed.
The code is static: if you change your Wi-Fi password, make a new code.
Which security type should I pick?
- WPA/WPA2/WPA3 — almost every modern router. Pick this if you're unsure.
- WEP — only for very old equipment.
- None — open networks with no password.
The network name and password must match exactly, including capital letters and spaces.
Where to use it
- Guest rooms, holiday rentals and B&Bs — a framed code by the door.
- Cafés and restaurants — on table cards next to the menu code.
- Offices and reception desks — for visitors and meeting rooms.
- Events and conferences — on badges, lanyards and signage.
Keep your network safe
- For businesses, put guests on a separate guest network, not the one your own computers use.
- Anyone who can see the code can join, so don't post a code for a private network in public.
- When you change the guest password, regenerate and replace the printed code.
- Your Wi-Fi details are turned into a code in your browser. If you are signed in, codes you download are saved to "My QR Codes" so you can make them again.
Frequently asked questions
Do iPhones support WiFi QR codes?
Yes. Since iOS 11, the built-in Camera app recognises WiFi QR codes and offers to join the network. Most Android phones since Android 10 do the same, and older ones can use Google Lens.
What happens if I change my Wi-Fi password?
The old code will stop connecting, because the password is stored in the code. Create a new code with the new password.
Does it work for hidden networks?
Yes. Tick "Hidden network" so phones know to look for a network that doesn't broadcast its name.
Can I add my logo to a WiFi QR code?
Yes. Use "Add my logo", which opens the code in the Branded tab where you can upload a logo and set colours.
