QR Codes for Business & Marketing
Connect print to digital with QR codes that look like your brand. Make codes for menus, packaging, flyers, signage and business cards — and export them ready for professional print.
Where businesses use QR codes
Restaurants & cafés
Table-top menus, ordering pages and review links. Use a link to a menu page you can update yourself.
Packaging & retail
Instructions, warranty registration, recipes and reorders, right from the box.
Print ads & flyers
Send readers to a landing page or offer, and measure the campaign with UTM tags.
Business cards
Save your contact details to a phone in one scan with a vCard QR code.
Hospitality & offices
Let guests join the network without typing a password using a WiFi QR code.
Signage & real estate
Listings, opening hours and booking pages on windows, boards and posters.
Measuring results from a static QR code
Static QR codes don't count scans by themselves, but your website analytics can. Add UTM parameters to the link before you create the code:
https://yourshop.com/offer?utm_source=flyer&utm_medium=qr&utm_campaign=spring
Every visit from that code then shows up in Google Analytics (or any analytics tool) under that campaign. Use a different utm_source for each placement — flyer, packaging, window — to see which one performs.
Keep the destination flexible
A static code always opens the same address, so point it at a page on your own website rather than directly at a PDF or a third-party page. If the menu, offer or document changes, update or redirect that page — every printed code keeps working, with no subscription needed.
Sizing QR codes for print
- Minimum: 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in) for codes scanned up close, such as business cards and labels.
- Distance rule of thumb: make the code about one tenth as wide as the distance people will scan from — around 30 cm wide for a poster read from 3 m.
- Use SVG for print so the code stays sharp at any size, and give your printer the vector file.
- Print a proof and scan it on the real material, especially on glossy, curved or textured surfaces.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track how many people scan my QR code?
Static codes don't count scans directly. Add UTM parameters to your link and the visits appear in your website analytics, broken down by campaign and placement.
Can I change where the QR code points after printing?
Not the code itself — it is static. Point it at a page on your own website instead, then update or redirect that page whenever you need to.
What size should a QR code be on a business card?
At least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 in). Keep a clear margin around it and use the SVG download for the sharpest print.
Can I use these QR codes in paid advertising and on products?
Yes. Codes created with QRLogo Studio are free for commercial use, including packaging, retail products and client work.
