QR Code Generator API

Create QR codes from your website, app or automation with a simple REST API. Send text, get back a PNG or SVG.

Endpoints

POST /api/v1/qr/generate — one QR code.
POST /api/v1/qr/batch — up to 50 codes in one request.
GET /api/v1/usage — your remaining monthly quota.

Authenticate with your key in an Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY> or x-api-key header.

The JSON response contains the SVG markup (or a PNG data URL) plus your quota. Add ?download=1, or send Accept: image/png / image/svg+xml, to receive the image file directly.

Options and limits

text — the content to encode, up to 2,048 characters.
format — svg (default) or png.
size — 100 to 2,000 px; margin — 0 to 20 modules.
fgColor, bgColor — hex colours.
ecLevel — error correction L, M, Q or H.
Quota — 5,000 codes per month per account, shared by all your keys. Failed requests aren't counted.

The API produces clean, standard QR codes with your colours. Logo and artistic styles are available in the web generator.

Frequently asked questions

Can the API add a logo to the QR code?

Not currently. The API returns plain QR codes with custom colours; use the web generator for logos and art styles.

How many codes can I generate?

5,000 per month per account, and up to 50 per batch request.

Do API-generated codes expire?

No. They are static QR codes with no expiry and no scan limit.
