Create a QR Code with Your Logo
Put your brand on every scan. Upload a logo, choose how it sits in the code, and download a QR code that still scans reliably on any phone.
Two ways to add a logo
Branded — logo in the centre
The classic look: your logo sits in a clear space in the middle of the code. Size it from 20% to 42% of the code, choose dot and corner styles, and set your brand colours. Best for logos with text, and for a clean corporate finish.
Artisan — logo woven into the pattern
Each module of the QR code takes its colour from your logo, so the whole code becomes a halftone version of your artwork. Add effects such as dot shadow or a glow ring. Best for bold, colourful marks and eye-catching print.
Why a logo doesn't stop the code from scanning
QR codes carry built-in redundancy called error correction. At the highest level (H), up to about 30% of the code can be covered or damaged and it still decodes. QRLogo Studio switches to level H automatically when you add a centre logo, and the Artisan tab uses it by default — that is what makes room for your logo.
That headroom isn't unlimited, so a few rules keep codes reliable:
- Keep a centre logo to roughly a quarter of the code's width — larger logos leave less room for error.
- Never cover the three large corner squares (finder patterns). Scanners use them to locate the code.
- Keep strong contrast between the dots and the background.
Preparing your logo file
- Use a transparent PNG or an SVG so the logo sits cleanly without a white box around it. JPG works too.
- Square or circular marks work best in the centre. For a wide wordmark, use just the icon or monogram.
- Simple shapes read better at small sizes than detailed illustrations.
- Files up to 5 MB are supported.
Test before you print
Logo QR codes are reliable when designed sensibly, but always test the finished file. Scan the live preview with two or three different phones, and if you are printing a large run, scan a printed proof too. If a code is slow to scan, reduce the logo size or increase contrast.
Frequently asked questions
How big can my logo be?
For a centre logo, keep it to around 20–30% of the code width. QRLogo Studio lets you go up to 42%, but test carefully at larger sizes, especially for small printed codes.
Which logo file types can I upload?
PNG, JPG and SVG images up to 5 MB. A transparent PNG or an SVG gives the cleanest result.
Will a QR code with a logo scan on every phone?
Yes, when the logo stays within the error-correction budget and contrast is good. Modern iPhone and Android cameras read logo QR codes the same way as plain ones. Always test before printing.
Can I make logo QR codes for clients?
Yes. Codes made with QRLogo Studio can be used commercially and delivered to clients, including as vector SVG files for their designers and printers.
